About Me

Hi, my name is Winter Betancourt, and I love to write! There’s really not much more to it than that 🙂 I’m currently working on my first novel, hopefully coming soon! I love mythology, especially Greek mythology, and I love underdogs. People who have to fight hard and defeat impossible obstacles to get where they want to be (who doesn’t love an underdog?) Unlikely heroes are my favorites!

By daytime I’m a graphic designer, design is something that I enjoy and allows me to  express myself visually. I’ve always wanted to see my characters brought to life, and designing has allowed me to do that. I’m working on digital illustrations to accompany my book, it’s very challenging but also very rewarding.

I’ve very open about my challenges with anxiety, and writing helps me to process these difficult emotions. I know many writers and readers struggle with these same concerns, and I really enjoy getting to know other members of the community and supporting one another in this journey.
